Opportunity cost is the cost of an activity defined by the benefit of the next best activity forgone.

This would lead us to the term choices. Choices which will not come cheap. In other words, choices can be spelt S-A-C-R-I-F-I-C-E. The law of conservation and equilavant trade in alchemy states that to attain something, something else of equal value must be sacrificed. There is no such thing as a free lunch and as such, there is no such thing as a free good. Choices have to be made, despite the possible speculated consequences for if one doesnt make a choice, one has nothing.
However, some options have to be forsakened due to one's inability to attain it, determined by one's purchasing power.

The law of supply states that a direct relationship exists between the price of a good and the quantity supplied of it. However, in certain cases, a vertical supply curve is observed - that is, when there is only a limited supply of the good, humans for example. As demand increases, the supply curve remains the same, hence the price of the good will increase. This transmutes itself into quality of the price being offered. Humans are rationale beings, meaning that they are selfish beings. They operate independent of external factors, striving to maximize benefits while reducing costs. As such, a prized good is never left on the shelf for long. Chaos will develop insidiously and metamorphasize itself into the ugly side of humans as they strive to attain that priceless good.

Individuals without sufficient purchasing power are then left with the second grade goods, or in layman terms,"inferior goods". One's purchasing power is however, determined at birth. Like how one's status is determined at birth in Gataca. Some might complain, some might borrow the identities of others, but in the end, a half-blood or a mudblood will never be a pure blood. They will just be like any of the trophies we receive, gold colored on the outside, but bronze or copper inside.

It is my personal wish that Half-Bloods will someday be able to integrate into society. That India's caste system will be abolished. That the government will be able to implement a successful price ceilling without having a black market surface.

Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso will undergo a medical at the Bernabeu on Wednesday ahead of his £30m move to Real Madrid and the deal's conclusion will bring an end to the Spanish club's summer spending spree.

Real's director general Jorge Valdano confirmed that the Spanish international would mark a change in focus for Los Blancos, who will now turn their attention to trimming the squad rather than adding to it.

The capture of Alonso, who is not expected to be presented to fans until after Real's tour to North America, will bring the club's total outlay under returning president Florentino Perez to £224.8m and will be the final piece in the new galacticos jigsaw.

"We understood Xabi Alonso was an important player to complete our squad, and it was worth Real Madrid fighting for him," Valdano told radio station Cadena Ser.

"With this move we end the search for new players. We continue searching for an exit for those who are surplus to requirements."

"The club needed a shake up. Some very good players have come in to strengthen every position and the fans are very excited."
